Slow DVD burning

Samsung 22x dvd burners used to write dvd's in 4 min, now takes 30 minutes for either drive...
UDMA okay, Nero shows 16x for media test...but write speed is way too slow...
TDK media issues? Windows 7 Pro updated, latest firmware....

Nero 10 has worked just great, I am interested in why there has been such a drastic change in write speed from the recent past....
Only thing different is new TDK media, so may buy some other brand and see if this changes anything...

I use verbatim disks and have the same problem. It started about 3 weeks ago. Is it windows 7 problem or. Motherboard problem?
