pc keeps resetting

So i was just surfing the web today when my pc reset itself. When it tried to boot back up it said that bootmgr was corrupt. So i put in my usb with copy of windows on it and was going to go to bios but when i turned my pc back on it would not boot. It just turned on and off three times before it just stayed on without booting or anything.

Mobo: MSI NF980-G65
Gfx: NVIDIA GeForce 460
Processor: AMD athlon II x3 450
Ram: x4 2gb ddr3
OS: windows 8.1 pro
HDD: seagate barracuda 7200.12 1TB and western digital 250Gb
PSU: Rosewill green series 700W

Do you have a case speaker? Are there any beep codes?

Yes i have a case speaker but there is no beaping sound. I have had this pc for around a year now and never had any problems,

Are there signs of life? Do the fans spin? Are the LEDs on?

If so, try re-seating the RAM (clean the contacts and blow out the slot). Check

If that fails try reseating all of the cards starting with the GPU. Check

Go through the checklists.

Ive already resat my ram and gpu. All the leds come on and all the fans spin. I even tried with no ram and one stick of ram.

If you have gone through the checklists to no avail, then you are probably looking at a fried motherboard.

But the leds on the motherboad still light up. Could it be the psu?

Checking the PSU is in the checklists. You can check the power supply by switching out with a working PSU, or you can check it out with a multimeter.

It was just a bad ram stick. Had trouble finding which one because msi colors their ram slots weird for some reason.
