Hallo, may budget permits a i5 4650k so my question is will the extra month or two saving up be worth it for the i7 4***k?
I have a asrock extreme 3 z87 mobo
Thermaltake versa g2 case (nice airflow very open)
450watt thermaltake psu (getting higher when I figure out what gpu to gt)

Firstly I looked everywhere but cant find, what is the stable overclock of the i5 on air? And what cooler will I gt that speed on I have the choice between v4gts, coolermaster evo 212, thermaltake frio advanced becauseof my case hight limit...
How does this compare to overclocking on the i7 k?
And lastly does the i7 really give more frames in games I mean is the frame per sec gain worth it and is it a better future proof option when games will be able to benefit from hyperthreading?
Thanks for your help.

for gaming an i5 4670k is more than fine and is capable to play all games even the most demanding ones(depending on your GPU ofc).

For gaming I wont recommend going with a i7, it just seems like a waste.
