Wait for new stuff?

Realistically when would INTEL / AMD drop another line of cpu's i thought most the cpus are being dropped this year. I still want to build my i5 build but wondering if it worth the wait to see if something new is coming around the corner to push other prices down again. i'm very behind in the news so j have to relay on forums to answer my questions :( either way thanks for trying to read my rant and if your able to understand it, then i tip my hat to you.

Ill keep my response brief, never wait for a new part unless it has a firm release date. E.g the new i5 4690k is scheduled for release but has no date so you could be waiting awhile and overall parts performance doesn't change significantly usually between generations so theres not much point in waiting
