I have an HP 15-D002TX Laptop with both Intel 4000 and Geforce GT 820M graphics. I don't want HD graphics. It can't be done on bios on HP laptops. I did disable it in device manager but after that I can't run any game or gpu intensive things. I tried disabling 820m to check and evrrything ran fine with the performance of igpu. When I enable both as default I get increased performance as compared to Igpu alone. So what to do ? Is igpu required for my laptop 820m dedicated graphics to function ? Thanks.

Don't mess with the graphics settings in laptops. Whenever you run something needing more graphical power it will automatically switch over. Like you said, when both are enabled, you get better performance. So why is this even an issue lol
