I'm sorry but I do not know how to word this better or have much information of what is happening but what has happened.

when I first received the r9 270x and installed the drivers then game I am playing (team fortress 2) had basically no frames skipped now however there are frames being skipped when there are action happening (like when about 10 enimies drop down) the game would appear as if they teleported from the ledge down at times or have frames skip altogether.

I have installed r9 280x drivers to the computer since I had access to them and played on that card but went back to the 270x. I do not know when the issue started which would have helped alot in finding the issue. The card's load never goes over 50% and the temperature never goes over 50 C.

on a side note the game runescape also seems to run at 13 fps when there are many players around (with max setting) is this due to bad programing? (it is running on direct x).

Thank you for reading if you have any idea or speculation of what has happened please post.

Thank You.

what is your CPU ? if the card load never exceed 50% than this is sign of a CPU bottleneck...your CPU cant provide enough to feed the card and this is causing your stuttering, not enough RAM memory on the system can be another cause for that problem...what is your system specs?

ok so the CPU and ram is defenetly not the problem here...you should start by removing all your display drivers you installed with driver sweeper (http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4266-driver-sweeper.html) and then re-install a fresh copy of the drivers using CCC (MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE CHIPSET DRIVER FOR YOUR MOTHERBOARD i suspect this is the problem with your system probably the chipset driver is not installed...) so yeah clean everything with driver sweeper and then install the latest catalyst with all options checked and you should be good to go...

Sure, AMD chipset driver seperate installation can be found here : http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows+7+-+32
Revision number 13.12 for 700 series or newer motherboards download and install this as well as the latest verison of catalyst with everything checked and that way you're covered...if the problem persist then it may be something else not driver related...

ok I did that and it finished installing but the issue remains. I'm going to guess that it has to do with the coding of the game.

but out of curiosity and slightly off topic when I get a new computer I need to install (in my case)

gpu driver - amd catalys
mobo driver - asus driver

did I miss anything?

if not I guess the problem isn't my end its the coding of the game/server that it is being hosted on.

catalyst is not only carying driver for your GPU but also some other stuff that might be usefull i suggest you install everything that comes with the latest version...asus driver for your motherboard will include driver for the integrated sound chip, your lan controller and some other usefull stuff (USB3.0, SATA 3, etc.) install everything in there too...

now about your game yes this looks like a server/ping/internet related problem, when you play other games in single player does the games run fine or is it slow and slugish at times?
