i started my computer today and i got a pop up claiming that my windows needed to be activated, and it had the Windows 7 7601 "this copy of Windows is not Genuine" error in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and my background was black. i re-entered the code that came with windows 7 and it said "the activation server determined that the specified product key could not be used" the code it gave me was 0xC004C008.
now my properties has this in it https://imageshack.com/i/0mxea5p

I had this happen once. Check your system date. It could be your CMOS battery went bad and the date reset itself back to the original date..long ago. Once you fix the date, the errors will go away..if this is the problem.
