lets start by saying i have the gigabyte nvidia gtx 650 ti boost oc 2gb gddr5
damn thats a long name :p
anyway, 2 days ago i started the pc and smoke started coming out of the card
i unplugged the psu and then took the card out
and the cables that control the fan (3 pin connector) were kinda fried for some reason
now i can replace the fans and i am good to go
but the problem is i am not getting any straight forward answers when i ask "what vga cooling fans should i get"
so please
if anyone know please reply

Hi

First see if you can see how to unscrew the fan
See if Google helps

Fan has a diameter, thickness , max rpm
Location of mounting holes also have a diameter
Also connector for fan is it the same as motherboard fan connectors ?
If not things get more complicated

VGA fan is wrong term
Look for fan meeting specification
Or look for replacement fan for gtx 650 ti
The risk is the burnt fan cable are a symptom of another problem so don't spend too much money on the replacement fan

the cause of the burnt fan cable is another cheap case fan
the wires were some how stripped
which caused a little bit of a conflict
