Since it is a laptop there's really not any kind of upgrade you're really going to be able to do to it. Laptops are designed to be very specific platforms where generally almost every part has to fit in a special way. The one thing you can upgrade easily is memory, and that won't help too much. Removing the motherboard to replace the CPU wouldn't be something very easy to do either. Aside from that you'd also have to upgrade the video card for it to be more capable as far as gaming and you can't do that at all.
My advice would be to stick together a small gaming computer which you could do for a fairly modest price of around $500-700. And then as time goes on upgrade a few parts here or there.
