looking for a new psu to replace faulty one. previous psu was Thermaltake 850W EVO_BLUE 2.0

Graphics Card - ASUS GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5 Graphics card - 3 GB - GDDR5 SDRAM
Wireless adaptor - TP-LINK TL-WDN4800
Case - NZXT Phantom Enthusiast Full Tower with 4 fans (200mx1 intake, 120mmx2 intake, 120mmx1 outtake)

What system are you running? unless you have something silly like quad SLI that's almost certainly too much Wattage.

edited with pc specs, and a new psu i looked at.

i want something to allow me to upgrade in the future to sli configurations for gaming. i think my graphics card has 600W requirement.

I recommend Corsair's AX series. Take a look at the AX860i, or the AX1200i if you realy want to have power, not that you won't from the 860i. Edit: The HX series are very good too.

Ahh fair enough, the 780 is quite a mighty card. TDP is 250 Watts, I think it's 87 Watts for the CPU, allow another 100 Watts for the rest of the PC and you're looking at around 400 - 450 Watts as you stand. Add in another 780 so add on another 250 Watts, let's call that 700 Watts maximum power draw. So yeah, your old 850 Watt power supply was probably about right really. This would do the job nicely to replace it:
