Good evening :)  I just brought a 770 MSI (OC) and i only have a 550 XFC core edition. It only has one PCI-E 8 pin (6 pin + 2) but i need 2x 8 pin to run the card. So i brought a 2 molex to PCI-E (8 pin). My question here is:

1. Will my card be abel to run on a 550 XFX core edition?
2. how should i connect the 2 molex to 1 PCI-E 8 pin cable? Just plug it into some random molex cabels, or is there any special way to do it?

here is my current setup:

CPU - AMD 8350 black edition
GPU - MSI GF 770 2GB (TF OC edition)
HDD - 500 GB HDD (Cant remember the brand)
PSU - xfx core 550W bronze
Mobo - Asus formula v
Ram - 2x 4 croshair dominator 1600 Mhz

Sorry for my bad gramma - Im a Dane ;) .. Ty for reading!

Usually when a PSU has insufficient PCIe power cables, that means it isn't intended on running a card that requires more than provided. However with your 125W CPU and the 230W GTX 770 (non-O.C.), you will be a bit on the low end for having any headroom. Nvidia recommends a 600W PSU minimum, but of course they don't know if you have a good or poor quality PSU. I guess I should recommend upgrading to a bigger PSU.

But if you want to chance it, the best way to connect the Molex/PCIe power cables is to balance connections from different daisy chains of Molex connectors. In the case of your PSU it won't really matter however, because its +12V rail is a single 44A rail. Personally, I think the PSU will handle the load fine with its 528W +12V rail. And XFX makes good units. But if you start having shut downs or re-boots, it is probably because the PSU couldn't keep up when the card peaked.

Will do ;)  - http://mediafiles.xfxforce.com/coreeditionproductsheet1... Check for the 550 version. Only one 6+2 PCI-E pin :/

As long as you have the 2nd 6 pin connector, all you need is to get an 8 to 6 pin adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CLTzt5...
