Hi guys,

I recently purchased a headset and have been trying to get the sound to work on it. I followed the manual from the Turtle Beach site and everything was fine. Realtek HD Audio Manager detected it and set it up for me. About 30-40 seconds later all sound cut off. iTunes stopped working, Youtube was silent, and all sounds were gone.

Down the bottom it says beside the speaker icon "No Speakers or Headphones are plugged in". I went into Realtek HD Audio Manager, and sound tested and it worked and there was sound. But everything else was silent. The Microphone works too. But no sound what-so-ever. I googled it and found problems of Realtek interfering with Windows so I uninstalled it and re-installed the latest one. When I re-installed it, it set up but now the sound tests don't work. I detects that I've plugged a device into the Audio jack but no sound tests work.

I then tried to check "Sound" in the control panel and my Headset is the default device. Thing is, it won't let me select Realtek as a Default Device. And also, after a few seconds the Sound page in Control Panel freezes and won't close unless I use Task Manager.

If anyone could help that would be really appreciated.
Thank you

I did a System Restore back towards 2 days ago. Sound is back working. But the second I plug the USB Mic into the port, all sound goes off and I get the "No Speakers or Headphones are Plugged in" message. If I go to "Sound", the headset is set as the default device and it won't let me change it and then it just crashes.....
