Hey guys and gals, I will be gaming at a max resolution at 1080p 120hz for the next couple of years. I was going to go with a gtx 780 for my gaming setup(single monitor) with an intel i7-4770k and a Samsung Evo SSD 1TB. Should I buy the Sangsung Evo SSD 500 GB and use the extra $200 to get a gtx 780 ti instead? Which set up is better? Thanks for the information in advance.

As with all hardware, to get the last 5% of performance you need to spend exponentially more money. It's the same with the 4960X vs 4930K, and with the 290X vs 290.

Buying TOP top end is a wast of money usually. Buying the next level down makes more sense.

500GB of extra storage on the other hand, that's freaking fantastic and isn't subject to the same price markups as "best of the best" GPUs.

500gb will hold the OS and a very large number of games. I would go with that.
If, in the future, you ever need more space, it is very easy to add a hard drive to hold large files such as video's or even more games.

Gaming a 1080P with a GTX780 will be very good. I might spend a bit more for a factory overclocked superclock version.

If you hope to ever see 120fps, then you will want the GTX780ti.

And... Since few games can use hyperthreads, I would save the $100 price premium of the 4770K and use a i5-4670K.
