Not as is. You would need to install 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM for 32-bit or 64 bit Windows respectively. I don't know if it's worth the hassle and money putting more RAM into it either.

You might want to check out a light Linux Distro like Peppermint if you want to still have a usable machine (if for some reason you need a new OS).

A friend of mine has this notebook, never cared enough to reinstall the XP on it and after like 7 years of usage now it's painfully slow. And I was wondering what to install on it.
