Hi there. I'm in need of help in finding out which one is the correct CPU temp to make sure my CPU isn't getting too hot. Perhaps if you know more detail on why they are both different temps, please explain.

The 26 is your CPU temp, the 47 is the cpu socket temp. When you stress your CPU you will see that those 2 will get very similar. The idle temp on FX chips are always messed up for some reason. I have concluded that one should add 12 degrees celcius on the idle temp to get the true core temp. This was the case for my Bulldozer as well as the FX8320 I have now. But, as I said, stress the cpu with a benchmark or something and watch them come together and show the same temps. (More or less)

Edit, checked mine now and it jumps between 17 and 28 and the socket sensor says 35, hahaha. =)

There are two though. I don't know which one I should be looking at when determining if my CPU is getting too hot or not... example: my CPU safe max temp is 62 degrees celsius. Should I be using the 47 degree temp, or the 26 degree temp as a guideline?
