Would a GeForce GTX 550 Ti be bottlenecked by an C2D E8400?

As title. I'm wondering if this CPU will bottleneck the card too badly.

Also, I'm sorry if this is the wrong section, but I wasn't sure whether to post this in the graphics card forum or this CPU forum!

Nah i wouldnt say so.

they are both entry level components so i wouldnt see how there would be bottlenecking.

They're a pretty good match. That being said, any game that runs on more than two threads (not many at this point) will be bottlenecked by the CPU

I have a e8500, which is a intel duo core @3.1 ghz and depending on the game it did bottleneck. On games like Diable 3 it was OK but playing LA Noir or Witcher 2 the cpu bottlenecks hard. So a game like BF4 will be bottlenecked for sure

I have my cpu paired with 4gb of ram, and an EVGA 550ti, with 550 watt psu hope this helps.

I've had SLi'd 560Ti's running on an e8400 and games ran just fine, no stuttering or slideshow at all and that is the sign of "bottlenecking" as the term was first used.
