Hello. first time posting on here but it made sense as i get 90% of my tech support from reading past posts on here. Basically i keep getting a total failure on my main monitor (24" 1080p asus(http://imgur.com/z1Xaw8y)) that doesn't effect my my second monitor (my old tv i used to play xbox on) It started off just happening while i played skyrim and alt tabbed out to watch a video using a browser but has begun to become more and more frequent. The main factor does seem to be when i go to watch a video. i originally thought it could be I've over clocked my card too much but i've ran firemark extreme and had no issues. (it's yet to happen in game) it's got to the point now where it's just happened while i had my card at stock clock with nothing but spotify, chrome and skype running. I've asked my friend about it and he's not sure it;s gpu related as my computer functions perfectly fine on my second monitor while i have that screen in the above picture. i have no idea what the matter is and i'm beginning to worry my card is dying. please any help would be appreciated.
Specs:
FX-8320@ 4.1ghz
sapphire 7950 duel-x (while overclocked it's around 1050mhz core and 1325mhz mem. i've had the voltage to +5 to +20 on afterburner (but adding it or removing it has no noticeable effect the the frequency of the occurrence))
1333mh 2x4 ddr3
GB GA-970A-UD3
Corsair 600w psu

i had a simalar issue with same card as u mine randomly went completly blank even though the system was running its cause by ur gpu basically on it's was out. 1st u can check on single monitors only to check it isnt the monitor just tobe safe if not ur likely to need a new gpu or rma it. there is a 3rd option but use at ur own risk using the oven trick.

Thanks for the response!
I'm out of work at the moment due to long term injury so getting a new GPU is pretty out of the question. Correct me if i'm wrong but would overclocking my card void a warranty? how would i go about RMAing it? and the oven trick sounds like a pretty bad idea as if it goes arong my PC would be useless as my motherboard doesn't support on board graphics.
I'll reply in the morning as it is late! thank you for the insight!

overclocking doesnt really void the warranty to rma it if u still have the receipt and its still in warranty send it back to where u bought it or send it to sapphire. yea the oven trick can be hit and miss use it as a last resort as it can work or not. personal experience i did it last week to mine as it died and bought it bk to life though no idea how long it will last for.
