So I've been building a pc and kinda decided to use an old hd tv that's been sitting in my room for two years collecting dust. I know it's decent for gaming as I've played battlefield 4 with my ps3 on it for a few days.

The model is Orion 24" Class LED-LCD 720p 60Hz HDTV, SLED2468W Ultra-Slim 2.28".

Ya it can only go up to 720p, but I figure I won't notice the difference between the 1080p and 720p resolution. And it's about the size of a bigger monitor.

So the real question is, should I keep the tv for the gaming rig or just stop being cheap and buy a 1080p monitor?

the only difference between tv's and monitors is bascially the viewing distance but theres no harm using it. 1080p will always be clear winner in terms of viewing quality but what ever works best for u if u can work around it
