Hey Everyone,

I just got a new PC and it's got the AMD Radeon R7 250 2GB installed. On my previous machine which is 5 years old I was able to maximize my monitor resolution.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here but the max windows 8.1 is telling me I can get is 1920 x 1080.

My monitor that have is this one :
Achieva Shimian QH2700-IPSMS Edge Eco 27" 2560x1440 AH-IPS LED DVI PC Monitor

Great monitor but since I plugged into my new desktop which is this one I can't get the resolution maxed out.

The old graphics card that I had and was able to get maxed out resolution was the:
HIS Hightech H467QT512P Radeon HD 4670 IceQ Turbo 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

I installed the AMD Catalyst Control Center and still can only get the resolution to show me a max of 1920 x 1080.

Is it that the new graphics card I have can't handle that much resolution?

Let me know if I missing anything.

Thanks

I emailed the company and they said that the monitor does not have drivers and my graphics card should pick it up.

I tried it with my old Windows 7 machine that has a graphics card of ATI Radeon HD 4670 and it worked just fine. The resolution automatically adjusted to max resolution of 2560 x 1440. This PC is at least 5-6 years old and it can detect the monitor with the 5-6 graphics card.

I don't understand why the brand new pc can't detect the monitor which is the Shimain.
