I am looking to build a computer for a friend that is starting a convenient store with a restaurant attached. He has a Wayne Nucleus POS system and needs a back office computer to communicate and retrieve information. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Any basic computer would work. I recommend an inexpensive Asus or HP 17" laptop. He can always use a separate monitor if he wishes.

Laptops are small, portable (may wish to use a Kensington lock though) and have a battery to prevent crashing if the power is interrupted.

For example, THIS one for $400 USD:

I strongly recommend one with Windows 8 (not Windows 7) but also recommend Start8 for $5, or the free program Pokki to avoid the current default screen (he may get used to it when it improves).
