hawken is really fun and dota is a great game too star wars the old republic seems good as well

I second PlanetSide 2. It's free to play, so you can at least try it out before putting any money into it. If you do there are options to either pay a subscription or pay for credits. I put maybe $45 into the game and was worth it for the number of hours I played. You can buy guns and add-ons for vehicles. There are bundles to stretch your credits out to get more stuff.

It is a really fun game though. LARGE maps and thousands of people in game. It's an MMOFPS. I used to play BF3, but gave up on that and definitely did not play BF4 because of the crappy tactics being used. I gave up on COD after MW2. Planetside 2 requires you to be tactical and work on groups. The maps are so huge you can just go somewhere else if a group is being a PITA. It is also impossible for a single person to ruin the fun in a game.
