I have some trouble with my fans, I recently put an extra fan in my case with e 3 Pin splitter. But now my bios tells me the fans are not running (they are but at full power)
I have a Asus F2A55-M mobo
Any input? And is it possible to set the fan speed?

Hi Vdries,
It is possible to set the fan speeds , but more than likely not with a 3pin splitter off of one fan header on your motherboard.
I would suggest connect them to another fan header on your mobo , failing that if you are using all your fan headers there are a few alternatives.
1. a fan controller
2. a molex to 12v 3pin fan header , a molex to 7v 3pin fan header ( reduce fan speed and noise ), a molex to 3pin 5v fan header ( slower and quiter still ) you can buy them with single or multiple headers or single molex to all 3

3. a fan power board , molex to a pcb with multiple fan headers on it at various voltages

4. a single fan controller such as this one http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...
for a case fan i would not worry about controlling it in bios as long as it works and is quiet enough for your needs any one of the above will do that

Thanks you for the respons.

I'm already glade I get the fans running, it's just wierd my bios doesn't see to reconise them. Maybe I Try 1 fan again and see what bios does.
Utherwise it will be the splitter that cause the problem I think.

yes i would say it will be the splitter
why do you need to see the fans in the bios ?

Ectually you have a point there :-P

To see the rpm and I trough I could change the speed with voltage

depending on your motherboard you should be able to do that through windows

I'll take a look at the splitter 1st. Otherwise it is what it is.
