Okay, this is my first time building my own PC, I want to make sure I have all my components correct and reasonable quality. This will be used for Gaming, college as well as editing and rendering videos.
Heres my build. (Note this is in New Zealand Dollars so it's about $1300 USD but $1600 to me)

I intend on overclocking to about 4.2Ghz because apparently that's a safe area to go to on my CPU unless others tell me different.
I may add an SSD later on but for the time being I am fine without one.
I already have a really nice Asus 1ms 1080p Monitor being shipped to me as I type this and that will be placed next to my T.V monitor which I do console gaming on but could turn into a second monitor if needed.

An Issue I have is with the Mobo, I don't think it's necessary for what I am using it for, there is a possibility I might get another GTX 770 but that's not on the table for the time being.

If I could get any suggestions and help from you guys that'd be greatly appreciated, again it's my first non prebuilt system so I'd rather have reassurance from others who know these things better than myself then buy it and find incompatibilities.

Thats a good intel - nvidia build you put together.
I do however suggest this build (AMD): http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/3hixw
The 8 core cpu performs nearly as well as the 4670k in games and is on-par with it (or better) in video editing.
The R9 290 is FAAAAAAAR superior to the gtx 770, heck it even better than the gtx 780.
The motherboard will have no issue if you want to upgrade in the future although you will have to buy a new power supply.
I have also included a water cooler to help you reduce noise and have better overclocks.
