Hi All,

First of all thanks for reading my post, i'll just cut it short

specs that i am pursuing in 1-2months time

i5 - 4670k
Z87 g1 sniper - gigabyte
850w silverstone strider gold
8gb ram

and GTX770 4gb - i wish to SLi in a year time though

3 options brands for me to choose - Gigabyte, Asus or MSI

what are your opinions on them and which is the most IDEAL choice?

probably in terms of the way it is built, compatibility to the system i am building, and other factors that you might know of, (experience wise or hear-say)

Solution
If you want to get the most bang for your buck, go with either MSI or Gigabyte.

None of the brands stand out. They either sacrifice loud sounds for higher clocks and temperatures, or sacrifice performance for silence and coolness.

Gigabyte with the windforce cooler (the one with 3 fans on it) is very good looking and it is usualy that one that will keep the card the coolest among them, but it is also the loudest, the small fans tend to have higher pitch sound so you notice them...
Msi on their part if you can get a twinfrozr card (dual fan cooler) it's a VERY good cooler, very silent you won't hear it even at 60%+ fan speed and keeps the card cool...MSI cards are usualy clocked agressively and their pricing is usualy very good, among the lowest price usualy, i would usualy recommand their cards..
ASUS is like the best of the best when it comes to designing cards, their directCU II card are usualy the top end but they are also priced accordingly wich mean you will pay extra bucks for that that you would'nt really need to pay if you go with MSI.
At the end of the day they are 3 excellent manufacturer and the price would dictate my choice, you can list the exact card youre looking at and their respective price ill tell you wich one would be better.

All brands are reliable and overall good although MSI isn't exactly my favorite.

From experience, MSI and Gigabyte cards have been considerably louder and maybe even hotter than ASUS cards.

Is there a reason you can't use EVGA? I've heard many good things about their 700 series cards with the ACX Cooler.

Compatibility wise you can argue that Gigabyte products work good together but I don't think you should take that into account.

Lastly, why do want a 4GB card? Are you running a multi-monitor setup? If not you should get 2GB.

I would go with Asus if you can only buy from one of those 3 brands but I really recommend you get this: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-SuperClocked-Graphics-02G-P4-2774-KR/dp/B00CZIQXBA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395919977&sr=8-1&keywords=evga+770

Good luck!

he said he will SLI down the road and going with a 4gb card makes a lot of sens, you never know how much VRAM the future games will use (look at titanfall it can use up to 3.7gb at 1080p....) and no the MSI twinfrozr card are not loud they are in fact among the most silent out there, check your facts and read some reviews.

As for the EVGA card the cooler on it is pretty good but the quality of it is nowhere near the Twinfrozr and most reviewers seems to favor MSI over EVGA...
Also to the OP we can discuss this via private message if you want cause such a question will bring so many opinions from fanboy of any manufacturers at the end of the day youll be even more confused...i owned well over 20 cards so far both nvidia and AMD, owned SLI setups CFX setups, owned Asus, gigabyte, Msi, Evga, zotac, palit and many more so yeah i'm not biaised in any way you can trust me

First of all, VRAM does not stack. If he wants to play games like Titanfall than he can get a 4GB. I merely asked him what he was going to do with the 4GB.
As for the MSI, I just said they were considerably louder than Asus or EVGA cards.

EVGA is not widely sold in my country, ( 3rd world country)

however, they maybe some who does, which most likely to be at premium price. Furthermore, since my seller is giving me bundle purchase discounts, might as well just get from him and he does not have EVGA, as i what i see

there are also rumours that MSI on my country has bad after sales services, not that i am hoping to get defective ones,

i just want something that will last on me for years to come :(

there is Palit, Leadtek and Zotac too, but i am not familiar and i do not know anything about these brands so i am kinda not wanting to get those.. unless convinced otherwise.

Exactly, memory don't stack, so you don't want to be stuck with 2gb of memory with that powerfull of GPU's in your hands...who knows he might get a 1600p monitor or want to play on 3 screens later on and he will be able to do it if he gets a 4gb card...and no MSI cards (at least the twinfrozr ones) are not louder than Asus or Evga in any way, in fact they are among the most silent card, google it if you dont beleive me. Twinfrozr is a very good cooler, well built, good fans, and good looking too...and in the reviews he is always among or the most silent one..

It depends on what you want. Asus cards are usually clocked slightly lower than the MSI and Gigabyte. The Gigabyte are the loudest but usually the highest clocked. Asus are the coolest running. Asus are black/red, MSI can be black/red or black/blue gigabyte black/grey. And this also depends on exactly which card you choose, overclocked, superclocked etc.

Of the 3, my personal fav is the Asus, MSI then Gigabyte. But any of the 3 would be good.

Well understood.
As Karadjgne said, you should go with your use-case scenario since each give up something for another.
If you're planning to or already are running a multi/large monitor setup or playing demanding games like Titanfall, then go ahead and get a 4GB card.
I'd go with Asus.

i was hoping that one might stand out more than the other overall (not in benchmarking terms)....

as for now these 3 brands are priced the same, i just want to get something more value for money :)

EVGA is highly remarked, especially the recent 700 series.
You can't really say one brand is better than another, just go with one that matches your use case scenario.
Gigabyte: loudest but highest clocked.
Asus: coolest but lower clockspeed than MSI and GB
MSI: silent, normal clockspeed

I'm not saying those brands are bad, but I would stay away from them.

Gainward, other then having their interchangeable fans, aren't that special.
Their clockspeeds are pretty good though, so purchase at your own risk.
