Best card for serious overclocking: GTX 760 or R9 270X

I'm convinced the best value graphics cards are the ones that can handle serious overclocks. Does anyone have any experience overclocking either of these cards? If so which brand and what stock clocks/overclock did you achieve? Planning to only run on air so beefy coolers are good. I also intend to run either Nvidia Inspector or MSI Afterburner. I don't particularly like the idea of gpu boost 2.0 or powertune ruining my day!

I like the Sapphire R9 270X Vapor-X the most so far.

Thanks

Every card overclocks different. Take the 270x for example. Two cards, same batch, sitting right next to each other on the factory line, and both will have different max overclocks. If you're lucky, you'll get the good one. I've seen 50-100mhz gaps between some overclocks of the same model card. That being said, the gtx 760 has a 7% overall performance increase over the 270x.
