Okay, now I know this has been asked MILLIONS of times but whenever I try to play a game, after about 5 minutes the game stops responding and I get the notification saying "Display driver AMD driver has stopped responding". Then, I have to close out of the game. Now here is where I get confused, because the longer I have my computer on, the more frequently it happens. If I leave my computer on overnight it does it almost instantly when I launch a game. Even trying to watch YouTube videos it happens. So sometimes I will turn my computer off for a couple of minutes and when I turn it back on games run perfectly fine for about 30 minutes. I have a AMD Radeon R9 270. Before you suggest anything, here are the things I've tried.

Changed Tdr Delay

Uninstalled and re-installed (Up-to-date drivers)

Made sure it wasn't overheating (runs at normal temps)

I have a powerful enough power supply

I have enough RAM

I REALLY need some help I've been struggling with this for two months now. I think I might just bite the bullet and get a Nvidea. PLEASE if you know anything that might solve the issue help me out.

it's a temperature issue, check in amd vision center and check also the cpu temperature not just the graphics

I have had this problem many times. The AMD driver team needs to get their sh*t together. They really suck at their job. Try to download not the most current drivers, but not the oldest. I don't know what the drivers are like for the R9 270 but I know that there are more drivers for mine (HD 7790). I hope this helped! P.S. I would most definitely go with Nvidia over AMD for ANY build.

I checked CPU and GPU temps while running Call of Duty. They were normal.

I have this problem also playing Call of Duty Ghosts. I don't have the issue anymore because I'm running the 13.9 drivers I believe and I don't have the problem. This is, of course, for the HD 7790. I'm not sure if the 270 has the same drivers or not. I hope this helped.

I'll try out the 13.9 and see if it works.
