First of all, thanks for reading this post.

For the past couple of months, my computer has had this problem where the display freezes. Keyboard and mouse inputs are no longer recognized--it's just completely stuck. The computer never gets around to BSOD and requires a manual restart.

While this has been going on for some time, I've only noticed this happening while playing League of Legends and while watching Netflix. At first it happened about once a week, but now it can happen daily.

Yesterday was the first time it crashed on Netflix; before it was only LoL. I've tried reinstalling League, running a full virus scan, checking the hard drive for errors, running a memory diagnostic, etc. Here are the specs of my computer:

Gigabyte MA790X-UD4P
AMD Phenom II quad core 3.4GHz
8 gb DDR2
EVGA GTX 260
DVD-ROM
Western Digital 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD
Windows 7 64-bit

Anyone have any suggestions for me before I make an expensive assumption?

Solution
It could be a crashing display driver. Get MSI Afterburner and try lowering your clock speeds by 25mhz. THen let me know if that helped.
