After fixing an issue involving power continuity, i reassembled my laptop only to find that the network adapter is not functioning. More specifically:

Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
Intel(R) WiFi Link 1000 BGN
Microsoft 6to4 Adapter
Microsoft ISATAP adapters 1-7
Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface
WAN Miniport (IKEv2)
WAN Miniport (IP)
WAN Miniport (IPv6)
WAN Miniport (L2TP)
WAN Miniport (Network Monitor)
WAN Miniport (PPPOE)
WAN Miniport (PPTP)
WAN Miniport (SSTP)

all give me the same code 31 message about being unable to load the respective drivers.

I am positive the black and white connection tabs are properly secured to the network card.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!!

Solution
Uninstall the current driver in full, then install the appropriate driver for it again. If there is a wireless hotkey toggle or switch to enable and disable the card, look into that and see if it responds with that. If it is still not being picked up, you can physically remove the card, then reinsert it. You can leave the antennae connected to it if you like (they are a bit annoying to reaffix to the card), although I would suggest taking them off before removing the card. Once you have reinserted the card, you can attach the antennae again (make a note of where each one goes).
The black and white antennae do not determine whether the system can see it or not, they are there for receiving the radio signal. If this is a mini PCI-E card, you can try reseating it, as the connection at the board is what determines whether the system and OS will pick it up.

Did you remove the old driver first? Sometimes installing a driver over an existing one causes driver conflicts.

Yes, this is what it is:

I am not familiar with resetting these. How do i go about doing this? I've already tried uninstalling the drivers to no avail.

No. I didn't even disconnect the PCI card from the MOBO.

Did a network troubleshoot, and was able to connect to the internet via ethernet. But now Windows (7) does not recognize the adapter.

I am beginning to believe i just need a new wireless adapter.
