We are talking about mobile chips here, so the i5 would be a dual core with hyperthreading, and the A10 would be a quad core CPU, with lower clocks and less per core performance than the i5.

If your budget does not allow for a discrete GPU, then the A10 will be better as its IGP is superior to the HD 4600 you would get on the i5. If your budget does allow for a discrete GPU, then the i5 would probably be better for most games, though the A10 might gain a slight edge on games with heavy multithreading support eg. Crysis 3 or Battlefield 3 and 4.
