Hi.
I am very new to overclocking, I know it might sound dumb but can anyone help me to how I can make a (safe) overclock to my 6350? I want to make a stable overclock at something like 4,5 GHz. My motherboard is a Asrock extreme4. Any help is much appreciated!

I wouldn't recommend overclocking with that motherboard since it has 4+2 power phases and I seen before some people complaining about issues with the motherboard when running 125 TDP chips. If you still want to go for it, you may be able to achieve 4.5 GHz frequency on air cooling but the only way to find out the highest possible stable overclock in a system is by trying it yourself.

Here you go:

Just a few notes:
1. You will see him mainly overclocking using the front side bus speed in the video. When you overclock your fsb you also overclock you RAM. When I try to push the fsb on my motherboard with 1600 MHz RAM I usually can't go over 218/219 without stability issues. Depending on your motherboard/ the speed of your RAM you maybe able to push the bus speed or not, just keep in mind to check the temperature of the northbridge chipset using a program like HWinfo64; since it can get quite hot when you increase the bus speed. Also keep in mind that you still have the multiplier in case you failed to push the fsb speed to where you want it to be.
2. Whether you OC using bus speed or multiplier you will have to check stability using Prime95 which is a CPU stressing utility that pushes all the cores to 100% usage, the aluminium box that comes with my FX-6300 is pretty much worthless, but my guess is that your 125w TDP FX-6350 comes with the better cooler; the bigger one with the copper heat pipe but I am not sure how well will it do under stress testing.
3. Don't forget to Keep checking the CPU and northbridge temperatures, once the temperatures go over 60* c stop stressing the CPU immediately.
Good luck with your OC and don't forget to give some feed back.

Yes I did say it may not be a good idea to overclock this cpu on a 4+2 phases motherboard, but you asked for recommendations on how to OC, so it seems like you want to OC anyway and that why I made my previous post.
