Hello,

I am thinking of buying a new graphics card, and I have decided that I would like to buy this graphics card : http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite..., but I do not know if it is compatible with my current motherboard (ASRock 970 Extreme3). It will be great if you are able to tell me if it is compatible or not.

Thank you.

Could you write down your graphics card model or link in other site?
Also what CPU and PSU do you have?

the compatibility problem will never be with the motherboard has thay always have a pcie16x slot nowadays, but the question is more does your powersupply is powerful enough to handle a GTX760 (required brand and wattage here please) and also the size of your case, these cards are pretty big if you have a small tiny little case it might not fit...also if you have a well ventilated gamer case i would recommand not to get a blower style cooler card, but more something with a design like this one : http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite... the card will run much cooler and be much more happy in your system...

your motherboard suggest you at least got a 4core AMD cpu so that should be fine with that card...what is your CPU just for curiosity? FX-6300?

Well my power supply is 230V, which I have no problem with upgrading, but what power supply works best with the GTX 760?

My CPU is; AMD FX-6100 Six core processor (3.3GHz)

For single GTX-760 you need 500W or greater PSU with 30amps on a 12v rail

Could you recommend a power supply that would work with the GTX 760?

You have to unplug all cables and take out your old PSU then install new PSU and plug all cables, I think you don't have to make pictures because cables are different and its impossible to plug in wrong way.
Once you've installed GPU, run your system, download and install latest driver for your GPU.
Good Luck! :)

i thought i already had that covered for him, but yes taking a picture for a novice is always a good recomandation because sometimes they forget to plug something (USUALY THE 8 PIN POWER FOR THE CPU!!!!) and having a picture taken to see the correct wiring of a computer is quite useful when the PC no longer works

You covered but almost all modern PSU's have marks on cables and it pretty difficult to connect CPU marked 8pin cable in wrong way.
When I bought my PC I also didn't know which non marked cables I have to connect but it's really simple and difficult plug in wrong way (IMHO)
