So long story short, I managed to break the sensing switch in the headphone/audio jack. And now my laptop thinks there's always something in it, despite the fact that there isn't, and as such, no audio is coming from my onboard speakers.

The audio does still work fine- I've been using speakers for a while, and I use a headset when I want to as well. While the workaround has worked perfectly fine, it is really irritating considering I have a laptop and it's basically confined to being a desktop now, since I can't have any audio if the speakers don't go with me. I have RealTek HD Audio Manager, however I cannot do anything in the Audio Manager that will make any difference. Same goes for messing with Playback Devices in Control Panel.

I wanted to know if there's anything I can do to fix this WITHOUT going into my computer and snipping something or tinkering with the hardware.

Here's what I have:

Lenovo IdeaPad Y480
RealTek HD Audio

I still haven't found a solution to this yet. I've looked at a couple of other instances where people have had similar problems, yet no help really from any of them. Any help?

I figured out specifically the problem, it acts like i am constantly plugging in and unplugging the jacks in which i am looping together. It does the same regardless if its the front two or the rear ones. Could this have something to do with the way realtek detects devices, like it thinks the device is plugged into both ports and gets confused and glitches?
