AMD APU with Nvidia GPU????

So my mate bought a pc a while ago with an AMD A8-550 and wants to upgrade his graphics capability, but without research he bought a GTX 560ti and only now he wants to know if it will work. I don't have much experience of APU's with GPU's, but would something like this work? In case it helps (somehow) his motherboard is a ms-7800 VER:1.0.

I am not too sure what motherboard that is, I can't find any information on it. Did he build this computer himself or buy it from a manufacturer? If it's a prebuilt you just need to make sure it actually has a PCIe X16 slot for the graphics card, and check the PSU. Usually systems from the store come with really cheap power supplies that only provide just enough juice for the computer to run. If those two are met I don't see any reason why the card wouldn't work.
