cool

i use the below website for checking my wattage needs and i get 550 w for your build, mostly because of the gpu

http://support.asus.com/powersupply.aspx

on your question about cabinet, i do not believe you will get 550 w with the local/chinese cabinets. i think you can buy a good psu such as corsair with the wattage for about 2 - 2.5k and spend the rest on a suitable cabinet from cooler master or others

I kind of like your gaming titles. Here is my recommendation.

7000 Intel i3 3220 Ivy bridge CPU
4000 Asrock B75M Motherboard
2500 Corsair ValueSelect 4 GB 1333 MHZ RAM
4000 1 TB Seagate 7200 RPM HDD
1000 Any CD/DVD Writer
1500 Any mATX slim cabinet with SMPS
5000 ATI Radeon R7 240 2 GB DDR3 GPU
----------------------------------------------------------
25000 Total

Let me know.

Thanks a lot for responding. Much appreciated.

I was doing some research for the last 2 days and came up with some choices.

MB - I found - GigaByte GA B75M - D3H - Would it work fine?
RAM - I will go with 4 GB RAM. I will add another 4 GB after 3 months. I kind of narrowed to 1.) Transcend Jetram 2.) Corsair Vengeance - low profile white 3.) Kingston hyperx. Please suggest one.

HD - I already have HD in my old PC - 160 GB. I thought of using this for 3~6 months and upgrade it later. Hence i can put this money in other parts
DVD writer - Same thing. I have old one and will upgrade later.
Cabinet - I have no idea about which one to choose. I will go with your sugsesstion.
G Card - I was thinking GTX 650 Ti - 1GB or GTX 650 Ti - 2GB. What do you suggest. I want to keep this card for atleast next 2~3 years.

yes, the Gigabyte mobo is a good choice too. actually, any B75 will do

no, the Transcend RAM is kind of naughty, stick to corsair/gskill and kingston. the speed is important too, i prefer 1333 MHz

the 650 ti boost is a good gpu, very popular in the gaming audience in the west. generally, the nvidia gpus drink more energy than amd gpus for the same performance. also, your gpu selection affects your cabinet choice. generally, the cheap chinese cabinets come with 450 W smps and with this gpu, your wattage needs are 550 W minimum so you need to buy smps separately, which adds 2500

yes, reuse anything that can be, just make sure to verify connectivity (data and power cable) between peripherals and mobo and smps

good luck

edit: if you can add some more funds, the first change i would make is to upgrade the cpu to i5 3330/3470, and the second change would be to make the RAM 8 GB with two 4 GB sticks

Thanks for the suggestion. My Final build would be

5000 GigaByte GA B75M - D3H
7000 Intel i3 3220 Ivy bridge CPU
2500 Corsair ValueSelect 4 GB 1333 MHZ RAM
9500 Zotac GTX 650 Ti - 1GB

Total - 24000.

I can spend another 3~3.5 for cabinet.

Could you please suggest cabinet with PSU that could handle power requirement for above build.
