You wanna know? The Geforce GTX Titan Z. The absolute BEST GPU on the planet - however, it's just a couple of bucks more expensive than your average gaming card.

i would say the best GPU for someone looking at epic gaming performance but still on budget would be a GTX780...these can be found at around 500$ online in the USA and Canada and they really deliver...they are great overclockers (most Gk110 GPU can reach about 1250mhz on stock voltage) and with 3gb of memory buffer they are well suited for even 1600p resolution. Hands down the best GPU available for the mainstream consumer.

single gpu gaming, easy, the evga 780ti classified kingpin. add an alphacool/xspc 240 rad with a d5 pump and an ekwb block to her, a custom bios and use the classy voltage tool to unlock 1.5v core and its easily the fastest card in the world. no other gpu gk110/hawaii is housed in a crazy custom pcb like the kingpin is.

the titan z doesn't have any custom pcbs, just like the regular titan, its likely nvidia won't allow it. factoring in overclocking, the titan z will never come close to the kingpins performance.

the only thing is that it cost over 350$ more than a regular GTX780 oc for example and it wont deliver 350$ more worth in performance...after all its the same chip only with 2 smx unit disabled...a GTX 780 is 350$ less and you get 12/14 of the performance...tuff to beat

kingpin is $850 + ekwb block $130 + xspc ax240 d5 $260 = $1240. after a 24/7/365 stable 1.6ghz overclock, it will come close 5-10% of the synthetic gaming speed of two reference 780s in sli.

if a single gpu is the only way then thats it. but you can get two 780s for just over $1000 so it really isn't worth it unless your going for bragging rights or overclock competition.

i think the OP meant ''considering the price'' isn't it?! at least that's what i understood...otherwise the answer is just plain too easy...the titanZ will beat anything out there...but if you factor in the price/performance in the high-end cards than the GTX780 is the winner...performs about 42% faster than a 400$ GTX770, eclipsing that one ''usually the best bang for the bucks'' card out of the top...really nvidia made their fans a BIG gift disabling only 2 smx units on these card and letting them go for 500$ everybody should run and get one while it last...

for the price i totally agree.

you wouldnt believe how many times the GTX770 gets recommanded on forums like this one without even checking at the benchmarks...people got used to have the better price/performance with the 470,570,670 that now they do not realise that a GTX 780 cost about 25% more than a 770 but delivers a lot more than that (40% is A LOT) in increased performance...when i can i tell them, either you get a 250$ GTX760 or you go ahead and get the 780 for 500$...it's worht it,..the 770 is overpriced and the 780 is underpriced

you can look at this great video review from linus on the GTX 770, the cards where all overclocked as he explains at the beginning of the video...and these results are only for 1080p, if you up the resolution even more the gap between the gk104 and gk110 GPU will be even bigger : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQAbBU43mpo
