Planetside 2 Long Loading Times

Hi all,

I've started playing Planetside 2, and have noticed that it seems to take forever to load, whether from the launcher or anything else. Is this a CPU problem (I have an Intel i3 2330M)? Would it be resolved with a SSD? Please identify the cause of the problem and propose possible solutions. Thanks!

Hi,

first off PS2 is having some issues,
Second, you need a good pc to run in in big fights.
Yes you might get descent FPS in some areas, but when you get to 50 + people, you will lag.

Since you say you have a Intel i3 2330M, I'm thinking you are gaming on a laptop and you probably have a low end GPU on there.

Now here are the requirements :
Minimum System Requirements

OS - Windows XP
Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 or higher / AMD Phenom II X2 or higher
Memory - 4 GB RAM
Hard Drive - 15 GB free
Video Memory - 256 MB RAM
Video Card - nVidia GeForce 8600 series or higher / AMD or ATI 4850 series or higher
Sound Card - DirectX compatible

Recommended System

OS - Windows 7
Processor - Intel i5 processor or higher / AMD Phenom II X6 or higher
Memory - 8 GB RAM
Hard Drive - 15 GB free
Video Memory - 1,024 MB RAM
Video Card - nVidia GeForce GTX 560 series or higher / AMD HD 6870 or higher
Sound Card - DirectX compatible

For my part, I have been playing this game for about 2- 3 years now and anything under the Recommended will struggle to run the game properly.

What kind of issues is Ps2 having? Also, I get playable FPS in large fights (20-30) due to Razer Game Booster and such. I am gaming on a laptop and have no GPU whatsoever, except for the integrated one (Intel HD Graphics 3000). Also, I mean the loading times. Like the loading screen with the percentage at the bottom. If you have a solution for that, that'd be great.
