Purchase Date: Within a month.
Usage: Gaming, top of the graphical range games such as The Witcher 2 (and the upcoming chapter); Dragon Age: Inquisition (release date: this year); Dark Souls 2 and such. I want to be able to fully max out those games at 1920x1080.
Current GPU and PSU: XFX HD 6850/Corsair 850w (can't remember the model).
Preferred Website: Overclockers.co.uk
Budget Range: Up to 300gbp, the less the better obviously.

From the research I've done, I find GTX 770 the most reasonable: +177% performance at about 260gbp. Other options include: GTX 660, R9 270, GTX 760, GTX 780.

Which GPU will allow me to max out every game coming out this year? Remember, the less money I have to spend the better.

Witcher 2's "Ubersampling" feature would require 2x 770s in SLI, but short of that even a single 770 can run it fairly smooth at 1080p with all other settings maxed.

I have a factory overclocked 780Ti with a 1080p screen, and there are a number of games already out (Crysis 3, Metro Last Light, Hitman: Absolution, etc.) where I have to reduce AA settings a notch or two to have a smooth 60fps with v-sync. Considering we're still in Q1 of this year, and with the new consoles out, 2014 is going to have some heavy-duty graphics in upcoming games. If you're budget conscious, your best bet is to wait for a mid-high range Maxwell (nvidia 800 series) that'll be coming out in a couple of months. On the other hand, if you don't mind playing at 30fps for some of the more graphically intense games, then even a 770 would be fine.
