Recently my computer has started freezing a few seconds into a 3D game. It happens on all games and 3D demos/benchmarks. I have scanned for viruses, and defragmented the hard drives.
I open a game, it plays normally at first, but soon freezes the entire computer. The computer sounds normal after freezing. It is completely stable when not running 3D programs.
My specs:
Pentium 4 3.4 GHz 478
1 GB PC3200 RAM
ATi Radeon X850XT AGP
40 GB + 80 GB HDD
305 W power supply
DirectX 9.0c
