Ok so i apologize in advance if i sound like a rookie. Cause I am. Also sorry if this is like basic info that like everyone knows. But this is the best way to get answers.
System Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-6300
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870
RAM: G-Skill Ares x2 4gb
MOBO: ASUS M5897 LE R2.0
PSU: NeoEco 520 Watts
Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Ok so yeah yeah, pretty standard medium to higher end build. When it comes to overclocking I am pretty clueless. I know the fx 6300 overclocks really well and can easily get above 4 ghz. However how high do you think i could go with this board, heatsink and powersupply. Im thinking around 4.3 ghz would be something good to overclock to. But that leads me into my next question. How much noise will the fan make. I am really picky about fans but will deal with it if really needed. And will this overclock help much in games. Like maybe a 5-10 fps increase or maybe like a 10-20 fps??
