Preface: I have a XP Pro/Ubuntu T400 Lenovo. It has always had graphics driver issues, but if I booted twice into the same OS the graphics card would kick-in fine.

Problem: Yesterday, I decided to try to hook my computer to my TV via VGA. Ubuntu loaded fine with the native screen resolution, but when I loaded XP, it suddenly loaded to a black screen. Now, VGA cable or no, it won't load XP normally. Ubuntu still loads without issues.

Attempted Solutions:

1) Loaded into Safe mode & VGA mode to try and reset display to native resolution. No effect.
2) Reset BIOS via taking out battery.
3) Did a system restore to earlier that day before I plugged into the TV.
4) Tried the blind memorized keystroke changing of the display settings.

Hopefully someone can help. I really feel like something just got switched and there should be a way to force the native display back. I hope I don't have to reload XP / Ubuntu all over again.

Really appreciate the help!!
