Hi,
I have been having random freezes on my computer for a while now and i finally can't take it! I would be doing anything, and my computer screen will just freeze, my audio will be still running, and any key press will totally freeze my computer. The worst part is that when i go to event viewer, there shows nothing there about a crash, freeze, error, etc. This usually happens 3 or 4 times a month. I have tried re installing windows but no dice. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thx :D

Solution
Its not that the PSU doesn't have enough wattage. Your electric grid might have power fluctuations. I still recommend rebuilding the PC, an imperfect contact might cause this.

Most likely its the PSU not able to cope with power fluctuations but it can be other things too. Ram not seated properly, motherboard slot problem, dust, or just motherboard acting up. If it doesn't happen too often i would suggest a complete rebuild of the PC while thoroughly cleaning the dust inside. That includes removing the motherboard and cleaning the case. If the problem persists do a Furmark + Prime95 combined test to check the power supply. Come back with the results. Also please post complete PC specs.

Equipment: Monitor: Acer X223W
Mouse: Razer Naga
CPU: Intel i7-4770K
Motherboard: Asus Z87-PLUS ATX
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 660 2GB SSC
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB
Power Supply: Corsair 650W
Solid State Drive: Samsung 840 Pro 128GB

I just rebuilt my computer in a new chasis in december, cleaning out the dust in the process. Also, i am pretty sure a 650w power supply is sufficient.
