Hey folks. Not sure if this is in the right category. I helped out my bro with a build for him to game on, and it's given us some trouble. I've searched the net for a solution but have yet to fix the issue, and I've spent all of my knowledge. His computer will freeze at complete random during normal use and even, occasionally, bios. It will sometimes take a few hours, other times it'll freeze on start-up.
Here are his specs:

Cpu: AMD FX-8350
Gpu: EVGA Geforce 750Ti
Ram: 2x4gb Gskill ripjaw series
Mobo: Asus m5a97 2.0
HDD: 2tb western digital
Psu is 700w, don't have his build on hand to recall the branding though.

I've sat and watched the bios temp and nothing ever runs hot, even just before a freeze.

Solution
Run a few passes of memtest86 if that doesn't fail its the motherboard. Be sure to do a bios upgrade in case memtest passes as that might magically solve any issues. If metest86 fails its the RAM. If nothing of the above works you've got a bad motherboard - return it or RMA it.

Sorry for the LUDICROUSLY late reply, but it was indeed the mobo. RMA'd it and Newegg took it's fine time returning a new one, but his machine is fit and fast now. Thanks a bunch!
