I would like to build a gaming PC but I can't afford a badass overclocking monster that I dream of. So I would like to spend about $550 - $650, I really just want to be able to play Rust and Dayz Mod and Standalone. If you can make that happen I would really appreciate it! :)

Solution
Here I built an awesomely small and efficient one because I'm bored.

Would there be a noticeable difference in gameplay between the two?

i3 vs i5 for gaming, huge difference. Alot of games are now taking advantage of multiple cores, the i3 has 2, and the i5 has 4 cores. But that said, grahics cards take most of the gaming, so thats the #1 part you want to put most into especially in budget build. That said second build is nice, but hitachi id trade for wd or sagaet hhd.
