I recently purchased 2 Sapphire R9 270X cards to run in Crossfire and after installing AMD Catalyst Control Center and the latest beta drivers (14.3) i decided to load up some Crysis 3 and see how much of an improvement i got over my GTX 650Ti. The game worked fine until i loaded a level in Single Player and froze up about 3 seconds after loading. Could not give it the 3 finger salute or tab out to get to the desktop. My PSU is a Geartech 850W that is Crossfire/SLI certified (Yes, i know a POS) and i am thinking that is the problem. Should i try just 1 card plugged in and see if it works? Then switch out the cards and try the other? Does anyone have any input on this?

Has a lot of good reviews, enough continuous wattage (Wattage calculator recommends 642W), SLI/Crossfire Ready, and 80+ Gold (87-92%).
