Need a Network Card compatible with my computer

I have a page on PCpartpicker with all of my parts in my computer. I built it myself, I am not too familiar with Network cards, I have been using an ethernet cord the whole time, whihc recently stopped working. Whats the best network card I can get with my PC?

You mean your ethernet card is broken onboard the motherboard or your cord ?? as far as network cards any intel one is fine they seem to be the best and their not expensive. And if you recently built that your motherboard should have warranty if Ethernet port is broken.

Well, I would try to connect it to my laptop via shared connection (ICS) and it wouldn't pick up my internet. Thanks for the answer, the Network card seems to be my best solution at this point though.

Its not the port, it finds the cable fine, but the laptop wont share the internet for whatever reason.

This sounds more likely a software issue on your laptop not broken hardware
