Installing Windows 8.1 Pro by replacing Windows XP

I have dual booting on my computer with Windows XP SP3 in C drive and Windows 7 Ultimate on D drive......... I want to replace Windows XP with Windows 8.1 Pro...... I have the required ISO file for the latter. Give me detailed instruction on how to install the same from a bootable USB drive

Read this. It is detailed instructions. I know that it's a bit different when upgrading from XP, so you'll need to read all of this.

Boot from install DVD, delete XP partition, make new partition over unallocated space, than install 8.1 Pro on the new partition.
