Hello everyone :)  my name is Dennis. I have a problem. i cant seem to figure out how to setup the nvidia control panel properly according to what my graphic Card is capable of and my entire system in itself. ive also tried adjusting system settings in BIOS to (Asus optimal) with no fps improvement. About Euro truck simulator 2, ive also installed the DLC going East and added mods to the game. just so yall know ;)  i love this game, but i dont know how to adjust settings to get it running smoothly constantly, the fps drops and the game becomes unplayable. so if anybody would ease my pain and help me out that would be greatly appriciated. cause to be honest i dont even know if im utilizing the full potential of my pc. its a recently new premade gaming pc. Sincerely Dennis.

Here is my pc information.
Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz.
GPU = Asus gtx 760 directcu ii 2gd5 OC.
(RAM): 8,00 G
Windows 8.1
Motherboard is Asus Z87-K Edition.
& My monitor is the Asus vg248qe 144Hz.

have you tried going into the settings in euro truck and see what it recommends as settings? it could also be the resolution you are trying to run at.

No i haven't. i didn't even know that you could do that. all is see when in the Graphics menu is simple settings, and advanced settings, which is where you adjust settings yourself. but about the resolution, im currently running 1920x1080 which both my monitor and computer supports. i can't really see much point in lowering the resolution as it would only make the Picture look worse right?

have you tried removing the mods you have installed? that might help. otherwise just reinstall euro truck simulator. :)

i have tried removing the mods and no difference, Activated them again and the frames per second still dip to about 35-40 in cities, but outside the cities the frames jump up to 90-100 minimum. i haven't tried reinstalling the game yet tho. My pc meets the system requirements but still i get perfomance issues in every city in the game. really strange. i was beginning to think it might be a dev. issue. but like i said i haven't tried reinstalling the game as you suggest i should try, so i can't really confirm if that helps or not. Sincerely Dennis. :)  thanks for your time.

It might just be a simple case of the GPU not being powerful enough, combined with optimization issues. I doubt that euro truck simulator is optimized extremely well.

If it's consistent in cities, then it sounds like the GPU just can't keep up. You can try lowering textures, view distance, and stuff like that. I don't know exactly what that game has in terms of options, but that should certainly help (at the cost of visuals).
