Bought this machine second hand as faulty dead set, found that I3,CPU was dead, replaced it with a known good CPU and now it will boot to POST, I get the press F1, F12 options, then the ACER LOGO flashes on screen then it hangs with cursor in top left corner, I can access the BIOS and see all connected devices, IE: CD rom, HDD, MEM, it will recognise any USB devices I plug in but wont boot any further.

Things I have tried:
removed HDD, CD rom, Changed the RAM for known good ram, removed wireless module,
I have been advised that the BIOS may be corrupted, if that's the case, can anyone advise me?

Solution
if you can access the bios thats a start, turn off hte computer, reinstall the hard drive, and boot it back up into bios, see if the bios can recognize the hard drive and set the boot priority to start with the hard drive, save and exit and see if it boots, if not, the harddrive might be bad, or has no OS on it.

the machine will not progress far enough in the boot process to enable the boot up sequence to start, as a result the BIOS can see all drives attached, but the machine hangs before the system interrogates the hard drive for a boot sector, removing the hard drive on a working machine would result in a message similar to ( NO BOOT DEVICE FOUND, INSERT BOOTABLE MEDIA ), because of the fault on this machine, no messages are displayed, I am considering the advice I have been given , that it could be a corrupted bios.
