guys, I really need your help in making the decision between these 2 cards, as the gtx 800m series just came out for mobile gaming. As I've seen in some benchmarks, the gt 780 defeats the gtx 860m. I want to buy the new razerblade, and I thought that the gtx 860 would kick the 780's ass, and I thought about buying it. I would like to buy the Razerblade for it's small form-factor, and how compact it is, and that's a really important feature, when you travel a lot... I need some help, because I don't want to buy a new notebook that is already old (bad in graphics). I would appreciate your help, and I would like your recommendations of other laptops, that are light-weight and preferably have even better specs than the RazerBlade pro. Please note that I want the 17 inches one, because 14 in. is too small for me... Thank you for future replies.

Are you serious? The GTX 780M is massively better than a GTX 860M. The two aren't comparable. We're talking something like a 40-50% performance difference. If you want top end gaming get the 780M. If you want a cool running laptop capable of playing new games on high settings (not ultra) then get the GTX 860M (assuming its the maxwell version).

Well.... I'm kinda happy that my 780 is not outdated, but how does the 880 go vs the 780? Should I get an 880m laptop?

The 880M is just a very high-binned GK104 chip like the 780M but because its such a quality piece of silicon it carries off much better clocks at the same voltage as a 780M. It is definitely an upgrade from a 780M but only by about 10% due to a memory bandwidth bottleneck so if the 780M is cheaper, go for that. If you want the best mobile graphics card on the planet and can afford it, go for the 880M.
