If you plan on ever overclocking the CPU, you should invest in an after market cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or something similar.
If your not going to overclock, then the stock cooler that comes with it will work just fine.

ok great thanks, I wasn't sure if it was something that was required. I plan on just using my PC for gaming, I'm also upgrading the mobo and the GPU. So I don't think I'm going to overclock it.
Could you break down in the simplest terms why people overclock and what exactly overclocking does? Always been curious.

overclocking is just a way to get the most out of your equipments (CPU,GPU,RAM) by tweaking there voltage multipliers . . some softwares provide automatic tweaks for newbees and pro always go manual ...
